I started taking art classes as a child and have loved doing creative, visual work ever since. My high school teachers wanted me to study art (as did I), but I was strongly encouraged to pursue science by my family. I've made my way back to design work as an adult — and I even appreciate having a science background.
From sketching "hard-hitting," exaggerated storyboards for public health school communications courses, to designing presentation boards for my graduate summer internship, to messing around with charcoal and acrylic paint, I've always found solace in drawing, painting, and designing things. This is a random assortment of some of my favorite exercises and pieces.
